Stand In The Light With Eyes Wide Open

Matthew 6: 28 - 34 (33 being the verse targeted)
28 “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. 29 Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 30 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith? 31 So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Ephesians 5:11 - 17 ( 15, 16 being the verses targeted)
11 Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them. 12 It is shameful even to mention what the disobedient do in secret. 13 But everything exposed by the light becomes visible—and everything that is illuminated becomes a light. 14 This is why it is said:
“Wake up, sleeper,
    rise from the dead,
    and Christ will shine on you.”
15 Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, 16 making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. 17 Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is.

And this is what the Lord said to me;

Don’t worry about your daily needs.  I know what you need.  I love you.  I’ll take care of you!  There is no need to go rushing round, striving for the things I’ve already provided.  The pagans hunt with blind eyes for who they can crawl over to get a little bit higher than they were.  And it never ends.

But you are mine.  You are my pet, the one I long to lavish love on!  All things are good when you are walking in my light.  It’s only when you stand with eyes closed in fear that you can’t see how abundantly I provide for you.

You can know my will.  You do know my will.  I am so proud of you for how far you’ve come!  Stand in my light with eyes wide open and see what I will do for you!  And I love you even more that!

I am so thankful for the love Jesus has bestowed upon me. What a blessing to know I belong to Him. Simple faith and trust in Christ the Savior and we become His children - praise the Lord!

Thanks for sharing, dear Judy! Hugs!
